Prototyping

Liquid Injection Molding (LIM)

We specialize in liquid silicone rubber injection molding, backed by advanced manufacturing capabilities that allow us to create precise components and parts. LSR, short for liquid silicone rubber, is a way to customize the molding of high-viscosity, two-part liquid silicone rubber (LSR). We use it due to its durability, insulating properties, high tear and tensile strength, flexibility, conductive properties, bio-compatibility, and hardness ranges.

But the best part is, it stays stable through extreme temperatures as low as -75°F and as high as 400°F. In addition, it resists stains, rust, water, oxidation, chemicals, and bacteria.

Silastikey™ Design Options

Our revolutionary Silastikey ™ custom keypads are manufactured and printed on-site. We utilize a unique injection molding process with GE and Dow silicones, combining technology and quality for all silicone rubber products.

Whether your needs are rooted in the military, telecommunications field or medical field, our revolutionary processes ensure that even the most complex key shapes and housings can be affordably and efficiently made. You may also mix Silastikey 3D construction with proprietary screened graphics for a truly unique keypad.

Color Matching

SiTECH can match the exact color for your custom product with precision to make sure the end product results in uniformity and appearance, with no abnormalities. Did you know that we can, within 1 Delta-E, match colors for your custom silicone keypads? Basically this means we can match the silicone color or graphic artwork that has been applied to it. Delta-E (dE), in a nutshell, is the distance between two colors within numerical form. We hold our colors to the precision of 1.0 dE – the smallest differences in color that the human eye is able to spot sans help.

For anything smaller than 1.0 dE, a visual aid is necessary to make a differentiation. We do this with a spectrophotometer, an instrument that measures the printed rubber keypads’ color that you want.
